The Cafe BBQ at One City Mall, Putra Heights – My New Favorite Makan Place

A couple of weeks ago we wanted to watch a movie but the theaters nearest to us – IOI Mall, Sunway Pyramid, The Mines and Paradigm wasn’t showing our fave show at time convenient to us. So we ended up a new mall that we have never been to, the One City Mall in USJ, very near Putra Heights.

It is nice to have another Mall just 15 minutes away, full of places to eat coz you know makan is what diyanazman do best.  Oh and the cinema at One City Mall is nice too!

After the show we decided to try a restaurant that we have never been to called The Cafe BBQ.

I was attracted with the nice decor of this place. On the bunting outside, it says that they serve Korean food. I am not fond of anything Korean but the pictures look  nice. so why not give it a try.

It turned out that they serve a fusion on western and Korean. Miki ordered a pasta dish, Aglio Olio (RM19.50) although the presentation is a little bit comot-comot but it tasted good! Yumm! I love it!

Azman and I ordered this Korean Charbroiled Chicken set (RM17.90) . The chicken is delicious, the rice tasted like pineapple fried rice and the salad is well… salad. I wish the portion is bigger. I am very kuat makan remember? hehe

Our starter was fried calamari which was delicious! It was perfectly cooked, tender and perfect! Love it! I can come back for this…

For drinks we just had Coke and juice. Nothing fancy. ID inside the restaurant is nice and simple. The walls the black at one side and decorated  with wooden plates on another.

The next time we go there, I am quite tempted to try the Creamy Mushroom Soup served in a crispy pane. Below pic I took from BBQ Chicken Facebook.

This menus are pricey actually but the food is good, so it’s pretty worth it. Why don’t you guys go check it out as well? 🙂

PS – I am in Janda Baik for a programme on work. Will be back reunited with my boys on Friday. Can’t wait!
