You know you are not that young anymore when you tend to make sentences that begin with “When I was your age… ” Haha! And here I am about to make another one….
Miki… Miki…. When I was your age, all I did was stay home, watch RTM1 and RTM2, play outside under the trees, read books and imagine, how would it feel if I can experience the same things that happen in the great story books… But you? You have traveled the world and experience so many cool things, just at the age of 6.
Recently when we were in Legoland, Miki participated in an event organised in conjunction with World’s Children Day. If I were him, I’d like to say that I can strike another item in my list of “Things To Do Before I Die” – which is break a record under the Malaysian Book of Records. How nice is that?
Actually, LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort and Wall’s Paddle Pop were the ones collaborated to break the record for the “Biggest Painting Assembled by Children” under Malaysia Book of Records. They brought children from various orphanages and kindergartens in Johor as well children visitors for the activity. Miki got VIP access because I was on Media pass, hehe!
It was such a happening event and very-very colorful. The kids painted an entire white tile each with any color that they liked and then stamp their hand print on it. I was nervous because Miki was wearing his nice white RL, LOL!
Miki putting on his gloves, see that face? It’s called determination… :p
Miki painted his tile blue! And after that he wanted to stamp his hands with green…. A nice crew member assisted him patiently…
Miki also put red dots on his hands… It turned out cute although it looked a bit like a banana frog with chicken pox LOL…. He signed his name at the bottom as well. It seemed to me like we needed to rush… So I told Miki we were done and let’s make way for other kids, else Miki would have decorated his picture with more patterns and words.
But it was still pretty anyway! At the end of the day, congratulations to Legoland and Wall’s Paddle Pop and also all the 725 kids involved, for a giant painting was successfully assembled measuring 12.27m x 7.53m. This broke the previous record of 9.75m x 5.48m! Hooray!
Recently on 12 Dec, Legoland Resort finally unveiled the paintings in a huge wall mural along the walkway to the largest LEGOLAND Water Park in the world. The beautiful mural symbolises a pledge by children to have fun as kids. The painting is made up of individual tiles including the one made by Miki! Cool!!
Mark Germyn, General Manager of LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort said that they were proud of this achievement by the children and were extremely excited to have collaborated with their Resort partner, Wall’s Paddle Pop in this activity dedicated to children. Well, thanks Mark for the opportunity for the children to have a good time at the resort especially to the orphans.
One of these days when we go to Legoland again, we will find Miki’s picture amongst these 725 paintings… *pengsan* Haha! alasan nak pergi lagi soon…
In the afternoon, after the activity was over, Miki was so lucky because the Malaysian Book of Record and Legoland officers were still there with the official certificate so he got to take a pic with it! Awesome! 🙂
BTW guys, currently LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort is offering a special promotion for the holiday season with a Buy 3 get 1 Free Offer for both Standard and Premium Annual Pass new sales. For Annual Pass renewals, guests will be entitled up to RM170 in savings for a limited time.
So for those yang tinggal in Johor, you guys have no reason not to get the annual pass. hehe…
Since I didn’t share any pictures from our first time in Legoland in 2013, this time I wanna publish many of our fun filled pics taken recently. Legoland is indeed so much fun…. Miki and Rafa are so lucky to enjoy this theme park again and again… Alhamdulillah!
Us in front of a great castle where the scariest roller-coaster was… Rafa had fallen asleep…
Below: we also went to see 4D show of Chima. It was nice, both Miki and Rafa enjoyed it very much.
Rafa and Daddy took a Lego boat ride. Last year Rafa was too small to enjoy the rides but this time he was having a great time!
When we were at this Lego kiddy horse ride however, Rafa was upset coz he wanted to follow Miki he was too tiny for this ride. He could go on below DUPLO train ride however, and Daddy yang rock tu terpaksa ikut! haha
Smiley and happy to be on a Lego bike 🙂
Above is my fave picture of the boys..
While Daddy and Rafa was taking the boat ride, Miki went to take another driving test. But he didn’t print out the driving license coz he did that last year 🙂
We also went to the Legoland Water Park which was so awesome….
But I didn’t take so many pictures of us at the waterpark, mainly because it started to rain while the boys was splashing around…
Don’t be so sad we can come again next school holidays LOL! Thanks Legoland and Wall’s Paddle Pop for giving an opportunity to my son and all the other children to gain valuable experience.
So Miki, now that you have broken a Malaysian record and all… what’s your next adventure? 🙂
