Masak dan Makan – Sayur Pucuk Manis Goreng Telur

Hi! Hari ini nak cerita pasal makan. My first time tasting time delicious dish was in Mukah, Sarawak. Before that I didn’t even know that the recipe exist. I lived under a tempurung, OK? fine…

All these I always eat my PUCUK MANIS (Chinese – Mani Chye) cooked in coconut milk with occasional sweet potatoes or pumpkin. We #villagepeople call it masak lemak pucuk manis lah!  But in that nice restaurant in Sarawak, they were serving fusion Malay, Thai, Teochew dishes… It was awesome!

I liked this dish instantly! Sedap giler! I called it Sayur Pucuk Manis Goreng Telur.

Walaupun rupanya hodoh, hijau bertompok putih… but it is really yummy…

Recipe :

Pucuk Manis ( Mani Chye) –  strip the leaves off the stems
2 eggs
Seasoning of you choice – serbuk ikan bilis or here I used MSG-free chicken stock cube
Shallots and garlic – chopped

Method:

Soak the leaves in water for a few minutes and give it some squeezing to let it juice out
Rinse and put aside
Fry the chopped shallots and garlic
Add the pucuk manis
Add the chicken stock or ikan bilis
If too dry add some water
Add in the eggs, let it cook for a while then stir together with the pucuk manis.

Siap!Boleh makan omnomnommmm…
