It is the school holiday again! Hooray to clearer traffic when going and coming back to work in Klang Valley but boohoo!! for massive crowd and terrible traffic condition at places of attractions all over Malaysia… It is Ok… Keep calm and enjoy the holidays! haha
On Saturday morning we went to Cameron Highlands. Diyanazman family kalau setahun tak pergi Cameron Highlands at least sekali dua memang tak sah… We love it here, because it is cold, there are a lot of family oriented activities for the kids to do, a lot of vegetables and fruits to eat and we can buy plants. Haven’t you heard that Azman and I are self-proclaimed urban gardener? hehe
In Cameron Highlands we stayed at the Heritage Hotel. Since this is our first time here, I guess I will write a short review. Usually we stay at Strawberry Park Resort.
The Heritage Hotel Cameron Highlands is located at Tanah Rata. In my opinion the best place to stay in this Highland is at the Brinchang area because most activities can be done there and most attractions are there in Brinchang.
The above pic is not the lobby of the hotel but a sitting area near the elevator to our room. It is a really nice place. On the right there is a fire place, although was not lit but it is still rare in Malaysia. hehe! And on the other side of the glass wall was a fish pond.
Now that Rafa is much bigger, we need a bigger room to stay. The one we had in Heritage has two soft and crisp queen beds, just like our stay in California and Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas earlier this year.
I am very satisfied with the room. It is nice…
Please pardon my big butt LOL enjoying the scene outside. Like all other hotels in Cameron Highlands (and Genting) it was not air-conditioned but cool enough. I love this kind of weather, I wish Kinrara is here. hehe
There is one TV only but there is a DVD player. Rafa and Miki as always love exploring new places so once we were there, they started jumping around. Rafa played and played till he got so tired finally he laid down.
For 3 minutes… ughhh just where did he gets all the energy I wonder…
The hotel has small recreational room on ground floor. They have two arcade games machines that I so adore I wanna buy one and keep at home LOL…. A fussball table and a billiard table.
They also have a library full of Japanese books I don’t know why.. and a small playground to keep kids happy. There is a small sundry shop and DIY laundry, a nice garden outside and a nice cafe too… But the cafe is right in front of a huge rabbit cage that is not well-kept that it stank rabbit poo… ughhh… they should move the cage else where…
At the sundry shop we bought fish food to feed big fat koi fishes at the pond. This is one simple activity my kids love so much…
Breakfast is served at the Rainforest Cafe. The breakfast is nice but nothing outstanding. We ate at the balcony so it was cool and very lovely.
Over all, I am happy with this hotel and do not mind at all to stay here again. The only set back is the location in Tanah Rata, which makes it difficult to get to Brinchang where the farms and garden and pasar malam are. Especially during school holidays and other peak seasons, there were too many people and our drive from Heritage to Brinchang took an hour! Can you imagine? 6 kilometers in an hour?
Anyhow, Diyanazman family were positive as usual and we had a great time never the less. I have so many cute pics of Rafa in Cameron that I will share later. In the meantime, enjoy the holidays people and do go to Cameron Highlands if you have the time 🙂
Enjoy!
