A day before puasa, I went to a fantastic makan event organized by HungryGoWhere at Talent Lounge in Damansara Perdana.
First let me tell you what I love the most about the event – FOOD!
Oh but before that, I want to share with you guys about this competition yang sangat senang – just tell what is your favourite Malay food and you will WIN Dining Vouchers and Raya Hampers (total worth RM625) from HungryGoWhere! Come on guys, daripada korang update status merepek-repek kat FB tu better you join the competition at least dapat makan free! Hahaha
Anyway, Talent Lounge’s mastermind is Chef Shaik and he sure creates amazingly delicious stuff! You guys should try my favourite roasted beef with brown sauce. Even Miki loves this so much!
Miki is hungry! LOL! Until today 16 July, Miki has been fasting for 14 days! yay!
That’s Chef Shaik
Then there is this beef paella that makes my mouth waters now just writing about it. This is Azman’s favourite. And Rafa had some too. The rice is perfectly cooked and very fragrant.
Chef Shaik also presented his version of Kerabu Mangga. To me it looked like coleslaw but tasted very fresh and appetizing.
To go with the paella, we were also served with this spicy chicken, and masak lemak ikan. The fish is very tender and cooked perfectly while the chicken is succulent. I love it. I have always get turned off with chicken that is cooked for too long and gets hardened. But the one I had here is perfect.
See how creamy that fish is? Yums! Oh I forgot the appretizers LOL. Loving the main course too much! Haha! Miki ate the vege sticks like they were chocolate. Thanks Talent Lounge for including such healthy food for him. Haha!
Chef Shaik also made a great array of desserts from kuih-muih, to Sagu Gula Melaka and my all time favourite – Chocolate Brownie. This brownie is sooo sinful I wanna die. This brownie and the melt in your mouth roasted beef, two food that’s sending me back to this Ramadhan Buffet.
Yes, all of these awesome food and much more are available at Talent Lounge Ramadhan Buffet. My friends, Anis and Cha and myself are going later for our own Ramadhan get together here. If you guys nak join here is more info:

I personally love Talent Lounge. It is owned by entrepreneurial Malay family that runs recruitment, talent search, training services etc. Talent Lounge set up is so nice I wish we can have it in Cyberjaya where I work that totally lack spaces like this.
In terms of dining, on top of good food, it is also spacious for families like mine. There is a huge area outside for kids to run around.
While we were abroad, Azman and I rely on zabihah.com for halal food guide. But when in this region, best culinary guide assistance we can get is by HungyGoWhere. Don’t tell me you never heard of them before. Kalau betul belum, please watch this video.
HungyGoWhere is an app available on iOs, Android and web. Since I am loyal Apple lover, I am sharing with you the link to download the app –
https://itunes.apple.com/sg/app/hungrygowhere-malaysia-your/id669043696?mt=8
It really helps you know, because it has a feature on searching for specifically Halal places only! Sangat senang kan? Imagine one day going to a new place for example JB (I am a Penang girl, JB is not so familiar to me) and not knowing where to eat, just go to HungryGoWhere to get the answers. Tak tahu mana nak makan ni can lead to bergaduh you know! Hahaha. But with the app or their web, get recommendations, read food reviews and even exclusive offers just at a touch of your finger.
Hehe! Selamat berpuasa peeps!
