I was on my way back from work today when the traffic was jammed at the places that was usually clear. Miki’s babysitter said there was an accident in front of IOI Mall and I secretly prayed nobody got hurt. I was so convinced that the accident was a horrible one else it wouldn’t have cause such bad congestion to the traffic in Kinrara.
Little did know that it was no ordinary car accident, it was a massive flood!
Oh my gosh! We have stayed in Kinrara for 7 years in this is the first we are witnessing this:-
I got these pictures from Facebook. That’s the Mall nearest to where we live, which is about 10 minutes away. We go there in our pajamas house clothes to grab something to eat, watch movies at GSC, karaoke or buy groceries. IOI Mall pretty much has everything like Sakae Sushi to TGIF, Wendy’s to Ayam Penyet and Papa John’s Pizza to Seoul Garden. It has Miki’s favourite Starbucks too but wow! Even Starbucks and Jusco was flooded too?
This is quite a disaster!
I think anybody who lives around the areas knows what pisses Mother Nature off – the LRT construction works. Don’t you agree? They have been erecting those colossal LRT rail pillars and the station building without proper drainage that could withhold the unpredictable tropical rain we have in Malaysia.
The construction company or JKR must really look into this and ensure the next time it rains, such disaster won’t happen again. Kalau tak susahla I nak pergi makan-makan kat IOI Mall nanti! haha
