Yesterday, Miki and his Dad was watching TV when all of a sudden Miki gave him a stern reminder.
“Daddy..” he said. “Daddy ada kerja lagi Daddy tak buat! Daddy lupa eh?”
“Kerja apa?” his Dad replied.
“Tu tong sampah tu….” He pointed to the nearest dustbin. “Dah penuh, kenapa tak buang sampah lagi?”
Poyo kan? Bossy pulak tu.. Oh boy..
A couple of weeks ago I downloaded Disney’s Cinderella the movie and watched it with Miki. He actually liked it especially the characters of those loving cheeky mice and that naughty fat cat. So I thought he didn’t get the romantic part of the movie. He watched it a couple of times and since this was his first exposure to Cinderella (I never read to him the story), we wanted to test his memory and comprehension.
Azman and I asked several questions pertaining the storyline and he answered all correctly which means he really did understand the English movie. Then came a question that didn’t actually have a direct answer.
‘Kenapa evil stepmother tu tak suka and marah kat Cinderella, Miki?” his Daddy asked. I would be very impressed if he can tell me that she is jealous of her beauty and grace but if he answered “sebab evil step mother tu orang jahat” pun dah good enough to me. But instead Miki put his tiny chubby hands on his Daddy’s face, lean very close and whispered shyly to his ear.
“SEBAB CINDERELLA KATA DIA NAK KAHWIN!”
*gelak sampai pengsan tergolek-golek*
Before bed every night – one big fat bottle of 9oz warm milk
Then all of a sudden, takde angin takde ribut Miki starts drinking milk from a cup on 7th June 2012.
Miki can be super excited and super creative when it comes to naming his lil brother. Here are some names that he really likes and he insists us to name our latest bundle of joy with one of these:
1) Kasih (if she is a girl)
2) Dindin Generation Power
3) Generation Two Powerful Fighting Bot ( coz he is The Generation One)
4) Nize Mikael (wth?? Khairuyusnizam Abdul Rahim punya nama kot tu!)
5) I-Like-You
6) Zeus Mikael (fuyooooo.. this is influenced by the movie Real Steel definately)
We also have 2 baby bunny rabbits in the family, making a total of 12 or 13 pet rabbits altogether. They are about a month old and guess what Miki named the one white one… MOJO JOJO! And the black one? I cannot believe this.. He call it STILL IN PROGRESS! What kind of name is that? Ayoyoo…
I wrote this as my Facebook status a few months ago when I was in my first trimester of pregnancy. I don’t wanna forget about it so I am sharing it right here.. 🙂
“Yesterday Miki talked for 15 minutes about the characteristic of the car he is going to buy once he gets a job. It is a green car with sirens and missiles at the back. Miki is going to drive Mummy and Daddy to Mamak with that car and once Adik Miki keluar, Adik will sit at the back. The car has many cool button, click on this one and flowers will come out, click on that and another car will come out. There are dozens of buttons and Mummy can’t remember their functions already but there is this button that if you press it, pizza, drinks complete with serviettes, fork and spoon will appear. I told Miki this is the best button because Mummy doesn’t have to cook. Then Miki said there is another button kalau tekan keluar longkang. LONGKANG?
“Aah, keluar longkang senang Mummy nak muntah…”
Nice observation Miki, you know since I got preggie with your Adik, I keep vomiting 24-7, kadang-kadang kat longkang tepi jalan. Thanks for having that wonderful longkang feature in your car especially for me, Cimiki. You are so thoughtful and Mummy loves you and the longkang very much!”
Isn’t my baby Miki the sweetest thing? He can break my heart and bring me the tears of joy all at the same time. I wish I could spend a whole lot more time with him, reading to him, teaching him lessons ( he can read Peter and Jane now, just love listening to him read) but both Mummy and Daddy has to work and we come back home quite late. Time is so limited and precious. His babysitter, Mummy Rose told me, often Miki would go out of her front door into the porch, look up at the sky and see if the sun was still shining. He would then walk back slowly into the house while saying…
“Siang lagi… Mummy Miki datang masa malam….”
Miki, indeed you are often the last kid to leave the babysitter’s place. And indeed Mummy tends to fetch you when it is already dark at night. I want you to know that I am guilty in my bones and it breaks my heart so much sometimes I wish I work as a receptionist or clerk or whatever that doesn’t require me to work long hours, so that I can fetch you at 6 and then we can go for an ice cream or to the park and ride bicycles. But living life is not that easy Miki, and I want you to know even if you are the last kid to leave, our love for you is not a quarter of a nanogramm less… In fact we love you more than the life itself.
13 Facebook shares but no comments 🙁
ok, ok aku komen… haha
last para made me cry a bit, exactly what i wanted to tell my kids everytime i arrived home late, everytime i was late picking them up from school, everytime i was late for anything!!
huwaaaa!!!!
Haha. Miki always impressed me~ Entri ni buat I ketawa-ketawa, at the end nangis sebab sebak sgt – masa Miki cakap, Mommy datang malam. Slightly hurt inside – because, I can imagine how cheerful his face when mommy dia datang ambil dia. He’s bright brilliant kid~
Sebak dada kan. Nada always tell me : “Mommy boleh tak ambil Nada daytime? Sky colour blue and white. Not dusk, sky color grey and orange. Not night, sky color black…”
Miki is so smart and funny! You are truly blessed 🙂
