AidilAdha 2010 was celebrated with a twist. We were at home in Chateau Diyanazman instead of celebrating with our big families in Penang or Kedah. The first reason for that is the fact that the holiday fell on a Wednesday and secondly my Mom aka Miki’s Opah Penang was away in Mecca for Hajj. It felt rather funny…
We stayed at home, just the three of us, getting up early in morning… I cooked and Azman cleaned up the garden. Then came the AidilAdha prayers, then the eating until all the worms in our intestines screamed in suffocation. No korban this year. No naming our bull Coco or Chico or Kuci-Kuci… No worrying about cholesterol level while pigging out on beef beef beef! No hanging out with our brothers and sisters. And no my Mom.
Not as fun as usual. But as long as there were the three of us, happiness always engulf me. Thank you God The Almighty.
I cooked a delicious batch of chicken rendang to be served with lemang and Miki’s favourite spaghetti bolognese. Since it was the first time we ‘beraya’ in our new house we tried to take nice photos of ourselves. Let’s look at them:-

Lemang 2 batang, a whole bird of chicken rendang plus pasta. That’s actually a lot for 2 adults and I kid but at the end of the day they were all finished anyway. Look how empty the table was. So sunyi! I am not used to sunyiness really! Love my big noisy family!
Geram tengok muka Miki tu… he officially turned 2 years 10 months on Hari Raya Haji.

Not so bad right but Miki was very mengada-ngada, he put Amok the Cat in his songkok and insisted to wear Daddy’s songkok. Hishhh… pastu bila sengih kan songkok besar dah jatuh tutup mata?!

We really wanted to take a pic of just the two of us so we shooed Miki away and Azman took his songkok back. I like this picture a lot. But…..
Miki sudah meroyannnnn…
And launched an attack to get the songkok back!
“Ada aku kisah?” thought his Dad sambil gelak evil:-
Maka Miki pun melalak-lalak-lalak sekuat-kuat hati! Mummy tetappp maintain control rambut Shakira.
Sungguh syahdu sekali tak dapat songkok lantas berkepit di ketiak Mummy… Cuddle! Cuddle! I am Miki’s favourite teddy bear!
Daddy pun jealous jugak so he came to join us peluk-peluk sekali…
Haha! So that’s our Raya Haji story. Sila muntah darah tengok muka we all banyak giler.
