Last Friday the Company I am working with hosted a Hari Raya Aidilfitri Open House in Wetland Park in Putrajaya. Among the things that I love about this Company and my job are no.1 the great intellectual people that I work with (Bani not included) and no.2 the food. Lemme tell you a secret, food has always been no.1 but on that day we didn’t have lamb.

I love that place in Wetland, they have nice manicured gardens and green-green fields that are even suitable for garden weddings or any other outdoor events. Provided YOU DON’T HAVE A KID LIKE MIKI?!!

That boy was really something! He chewed on some satay and tried to put the meat back on the stick. He ran all over the field like nobody’s business. He made me take off the decorative tutupat (ketupat) from the canopy. Mocked every word that people say and FLIRTS WITH MY HOT BABE COLLEAGUES. No, I am not talking about Azman, its Miki! Grrrr… (Nasib baikkk)

Of course, Miki is actually behaving just like every other kid in the world, if my child happens to be in a playground or field but not playing, then I think I should be dead worrying. But I didn’t say active couldn’t make Mummy blush with embarrassment, ok!? Lucky my skin color is a few shades lighter than that arang kayu yang diorang guna buat satay haritu kalau tidakkkkk…. I was so malu okk?

Miki ran up the gazebo where my colleagues are singing karaoke AND START DANCING! Not once but so many times. I didn’t know what to do?! If I ran after him on the stage habisla one hundred people among the guests can see my flat shoes!!! Its not like I am so vain but the last time I had a facial, all the trees in Wetland Park was still little seeds in the nutsery kottt!? So I resolved to using my theater-performing voice aka suara bak halilintar “Mikiiiiiiiiiiiiii.. Mariii sinii!!!” I was louder than the loud speaker uolss.

Then I realized that the CEO and all the VP’s where just next to me. And staring at me. I walked backwards slowly, sat next to Azman and shoved nasi beriyani in my mouth continuously without stopping.

Here is Miki running up to join Bani singing “Madu dan Racun”. I wanted to film Bani’s performance and I DID NOT PLAN FOR MY KID TO GO UP RUNNING UP THE STAGE! See he was malu-malu in the beginning but from the chorus part on wards terpusing2 menari!

Actually it was kinda funny. One time we had the Company’s Korean counterparts on stage singing Korean song with about 4-5 of our staff. They stood in a line like a choir and Miki without hesitating went up the stage and stood straight with hands clasped together next to the Korean lady facing the crowd dengan muka senyum-senyum. EEiii anak sapa la tuuu???

  10. eh..takde tom tom bak ke? eventhough I don’t watch that programme, but I know it’s a kid show in malay… and I so naively thought all malay kids watch that ! hahaha …rupa-rupanya bukan yer.. 😛

    ok la…gua crita the other part of miki that day:

    1) when we talk, dia pun nak pot pet pot pet (ni mesti pengaruh lepak kat kedai mamak)

    2) sape yg kene cabut ketupat semua utk miki? aku jugak. nasib baik la aku sayang dia. kalau anak si tuuuuuuut yg mintak, aku buat tak tau je

    3) oleh kerana miki sungguh taksub dan kagum dgn lukisan kucing ku, dia juga telah menunjukkan bakat melukis bukan di kertas, tapi di dada dan perut baju melayunyer

    4) diyana telah mengeluarkan suara bak halilintar pada hari itu dan semua org memandangnya dan aku dan juga rakan2 yg berada di meja yg sama mengenjakkan diri jauh sedikit daripada beliau

    5) ejamaris telah melupakan kewujudan anaknye yg comel sebaik saje dapat pegang mic

    ada lagi….korang pujuk la aku cerita lagi ngeh ngeh ngeh

  14. aku rasa anak hang berjiwa patriotik. dia masih menyelitkan unsur kemerdekaan dan melaungkan tutta tutta ketika aku berdangdut. dia ingat aku nyanyi lagu negaraku ke. bapa kemerdekaan pasti merasa tenang di alam sana kerana cimiki bersifat patriotik

  16. ..ha ha, bani, aku rase miki dengar hang berdandut seperti melaungkan merdeka!..tapi kesian dea ditinggal oleh ibunye..
    maka dengan ini karaeoke sungguh berpuaka sekali.. =P
