Someday when Miki is much bigger, I know I am gonna miss these times spent with my cheeky toddler…. The world around him is bustling with wonder and there is always something that he wants to do for fun..
Video 1 – Tai Chi Dancing Baby
There is a basketball court at our neighborhood park and when the boys stop shooting the balls, a bunch of women will take over. It is a really fun form of exercise that they always have there – dancing. Seriously, don’t you think it is so fun to be dancing under the stars in the cool night breeze? I am telling ya, once they have advance to Shakira or Beyonce’s tracks, I am gonna be the first one coming to practice every night with makeup, costume, 5inch heels bagai ok???? Lepas Maghrib terus aku pose-pose Beyonce Single Ladies atas padang kekdahnya… hahaha
In my dreams la… Only Miki dares to do that ok? Actually, there is a mamak restaurant near the park and the tables are on the curb overlooking the court. This was taken two nights ago, when we were having that addictive teh tarik and Miki decided to join the nyonya amoi(s) dancing…
Check out this video below. Luckily they didn’t lose their concentration on the dance steps except the lady in red who was laughing hard. This video is only a short one. I should have captured it longer so we could see how Miki ran straight to the ladies and skips and twirl around their feet… taking care of this kid can be a real challenge. The bigger the area, the more you have to chase after him around.
Video 2 – Peram-Peram Pisang
Miki loves this classic Malay folk games.. When this video was taken at Kenny Rogers, we were waiting for our food for iftar. He was one year and seven months. We usually play enjit-enjit semut and then peram-peram pisang. Here is the lyric if you would like to sing it to your children :-
Peram-peram pisang, Pisang masak layu…
Jatuh dalam kubang, Disambar bapak yu…
Umbut-umbut nyiur, belalang kedek-kedek…
Siapa mulut hingar, orang tu kena cubit!
Now that Miki is bigger and smarter, the game is played much better… He even knows how to play Tom Tom Bak and so on… I love teaching my kid classic Malay songs and games.. Orang Melayu ye??? Jangan perasan mak salleh!!!
I believe soon all of these nursery rhymes will be too boring for my kiddo. After all he is forever growing like weed already showing so much interest in playing guitar and drums.
ps- Oh Miki baby, don’t you be growing so fast.. I cannot catch up with you my son… I love you, Mummy…
bagus la u ajar miki lagu2 melayu. bahasa jiwa bangsa.. respek! (eh, hormat!) and miki is such a fast learner too. suke tgk dia punya cheekiness 🙂
merujuk kpd video yg pertama. hentakan luas kaki miki adalah his singature move. hang patut ambik jugak video masa mata dia ketumbit
baguslah tu ajar dia nyanyi lyric lagu-lagu melayu
at least he knows lagu mother tongue… tak lah mat salleh sangat……
but miki still ada masa panjang lagi untuk mengharungi liku-liku hidupnya. we cant judge all this thing. hanya doa dari parents buat yg terbaik.
In this moden world kids are really brilliant… saluuut them….
hope miki be an intelligent boy ok…. untuk mummy and papa…..
comel comel comel sangat ^_^
aku pun suak lagu-lagu klassik malay ni..
tapi masalah..bila version PENANG dan TGANU bergabung..mak bapak asyik duk kata version negeri masing2 yang betul..haru2..
