When Miki was really tiny, about 6, 7 or 8 months old he had already shown high interest on animals especially cats. I remember when he was 7 months, we were shopping in the mall and I showed him a stuffed white cat with no intention what so ever to purchase it.
I just wanted to show it to him, you know… Just like how Azman always pick up an exotic tool from ACE that can saw up wood and metal and freaking polish windows at the same time. He wishfully picked it up and showing it to me, although he knew we aint buying that shit!!! No way! After he buys me my 10th diamond ring, maybe I’d say maybe.
Anyway Miki had squealed in delight looking at the fluffy cute toy with his eyes wide open and he grins his toothless grin that lighted up his whole face with so much adoration and at that moment I know exactly why Tom and Katie would still buy that toddler designer couture again and again and again for Suri. One part they don’t know where else to splurge their money on but mostly it’s their precious baby and if precious baby likes precious baby gets.
My own precious baby got his first stuffed kitty that day and a couple of weeks later he said his first word which is none other than “cat”. Because I was so proud of my smart lil chickadee I bought him another stuffed kitty, this time it was more of replica than a stuffed toy, it’s beautiful and cost me more than freaking fifty bucks!!!
When I was a kid, I didn’t think I had any toy that costs RM50. I had a BMX bicycle, perhaps that was expensive and I know I was given an encyclopedia that cost RM130 by my mom because I had gotten No.1 for my Standard 4 final examination. I had to be No.1 to get a great present, Miki just had to say Cat!. Ceeeehhh…
From the day we got him that toy, it had stayed by his side almost 24/7. He called it Cat or Nyau. He took it with him just about everywhere and often the life size toy was mistaken for a real cat. Miki took Cat to bed at night, to the playground, to the dining table, even to the hospital for his periodical check-up. I have nothing against that, in fact it is extremely cute for a lil kid to be so attached to a stuffed animal.
Unfortunately a couple of days ago Azman and I had to go hunting for another “cat”. We know our lil kid loves the old Cat the Cat but all those dragging along and make-believes had turned it into THE MOST DISGUSTING SMELLY CAT in the entire 21st century!
The cat is a complete mess. Its once firm stuffed body is now lumpy with figure that is similar to one of those “The Biggest Loser” contestant after a massive liposuction. Its whiskers are missing. Its beautiful velvety fur is lucky to be short else it could be the world first rasta cat with dreadlocks. Its whiskers are missing. The beautiful orange stripes and snow white tummy has been replaced by rustic brown patch with no stripe and dirty chocolate tummy. Have I mention that its whiskers are missing?
And the smell.Owh… I am telling ya take one sniff and your brain will start to melt and drip down your nostril. Hapak berdengung uolss!!! Melantung baunya aku rasa nak pengsan!
The new cat still reeks Lovely Lace sweet scent… and its fur is still a coat of soft velvet. When do you think this new Cat will join its ‘elder brother’ to the land of extreme disgust?

haha. sama mcm my anak sedaralah. i gave her something that looked like ulat beluncas masa dia baby. now dia dah 3 yrs old. last few months her mum (my sis) tanya i mana i beli that ulat beluncas sebab yg i bagi tu dah macam ulat belacan 😛
so i bought her new one. sebijik sebijon. nasib baiklah that thing still in production. i told her mum to buy a dozen untuk buat stock 😛
ooo i so love kids who get attached with stuffed animals / dolls. i have no luck with melissa. haram tak mau sentuh any form of anak patung or teddy. recently i have to pretend to sayang the teddy lebih and i even call the teddy lisa. she was super jelous and sentap the teddy and start hugging it. tapi hampeh for 5 min saja la. bestnya miki suka and carry it everywhere he goes. i think its super duper cute!

patutla masa cimiki tonyoh senior cat kat aku, aku rasa mcm hilang ingatan. bila dah tengok junior cat baru aku terasa ewwwwwwww. siap la hang miki, akan ku balas dendam. jgn buang senior cat atau pun basuh dia. aku nak pekup kat idung nize
