Many-many moons ago I bought a fish. It is a terubuk fish. One of the nastiest fish around when it comes to bones. I don’t know why God made them with so many. But the taste of their flesh I tell you very heavenly and very much like salmon.
What looked like a small fish at the market now had magically transformed into a huge marine vertebrate that covered my whole working conter. So I turned half of the fish into asam pedas.
With tomatoes and ladies fingers.
And the other half I grilled on the pan. If my mother ever sees this, I hope this fish won’t make her cry. My menyiang ikan skills are no better than my memicit jerawat skills. I always leave both fish and pores battered and torn. Sob!
This soup looked so pale. Well, it is after very much kurang pedas for Miki to enjoy as well. It is sup tulang, from our last Qurban.
This Daim chocolate pie doesn’t taste good to me. Same goes with the bbq chicken thigh. The sauce is tad too sweet for my liking. Both from Ikea café. Bueekkk…

This post of old food photos is made solely as a reminder to me to get my lazy bum moving and start cooking again. I have left that exercise for so long I am losing my modjo. Arghhh lets get cooking!

me dunno how to eat terubuk fish. y? sbb nt aku bukan buang tulang, but dgn isi2 nyer sekali..a friendly reminder to myself – never buy ikan terubuk or else pembaziran shj!
