As Azman and I have been house hunting since forever for the past few months we have found a few that pretty much match our absurd criteria; like
1)must have some space for planting cabbage (Azman’s requirement);
2)must be within walking distance to a Giant hypermarket (my requirement);
3)must have a piece of land for Miki to play with dirt and stomp on Daddy’s cabbage (Miki’s requirement);
4)must have easy access to all shopping malls in Klang Valley (my requirement);
5)must be in a matured neighborhood (our requirement);
6)must be in a neighbourhood with equal ratio of all major races (our requirement) etc.
Why cabbage and why Giant I cannot answer but check out the houses below that we have shortlisted. All are situated in strategic Bandar Kinrara with lovely, peaceful and matured neighborhood.
House no 1 : The One With KFC Walls
This house is situated in the same neighbourhood that we are staying now. Single story corner lot. 4 rooms and 2 baths, very nicely renovated with wet and dry kitchen, has got kitchen cabinets and fresh coat of paint. But it has hideous hideous tiles as wall furnishing in dining room and kitchen that makes me feel like I am living in a KFC restaurant. Very easily accessible for us, our visitors and our burglars too.
Price: Feverishly affordable. Still have enough money to eat rice once a day after paying mortgage. With sardines. The rest of the time – fasting! Miki must learn to imagine Colgate boxes are toy cars if he wants any toy cars.
House no 2 : The One with Colorful Murals
This one is currently tenant-occupied and operates as a kindergarten. 20×70 4 rooms 3 baths with extra land so wide its more than 20 feet on the side and back. Airy with nice green view from balcony. A basic house so no kitchen cabinets whatsoever. Fell in love with its location and surrounding atmosphere, if only the owner wants to repaint the colorful wall with something decent.
Price: Brain hemorrhage lung crushingly affordable. Still have enough money to eat rice twice a week after paying mortgage. With fried anchovies. Miki must be potty trained by the time he is 8 months to save money from buying diapers.
House no 3: The One with a lot of Windows
Large 22×75, four bedrooms and three baths. Brand new, never been occupied before in a “neighborhood of rich people” as the agent puts it. If we stay here we will become the cikai-est. It has a cool air well section by the front door, great for Miki to swim a fish pond or small fountain. Secluded end lot with extra more than 10 feet of land on side and back. Its at the end of the cul de sac, so it has limited accessibility. Cumbersome for us, our visitors and our buglars too.
Price: Hemorrhoids causing intestine knottingly affordable. Same price with No 2. Still have enough money to eat rice twice a week after paying mortgage. With ikan masin. Miki must learn to drink from cups because we are cutting milk bottle and nursing bra money allocations.
House no 4: The Cool but Ugly One
In the same neighborhood we are staying now. This is old photo. Now it looks like a war-torn battleground. Extreme ugliness of the paint and maintenance level. But cool extra 20feet of land, extended kitchen that’s very-very spacious with kitchen cabinets, bars etc installed. Next to school and in front of shops. 4 rooms and 3 baths. Leveled dining and living room, not very kids friendly.
Price : Heart stopping kidney failing stroke evokingly affordable. Eat sand after start paying mortagage. Must pluck all armpit hair just for downpayment. Miki hantar balik kampong.

Rumah yang last tu mmg best. Because right in front of it ada Kopi Tiam, Kedai Mamak, Grocery Store, Dobi etc etc.. pastu sebelah skolah n dekat playground. but the price is MORE THAN HALF A MILLION ok??? pengsan!!
good luck in choosing. mmg poning kepalo dibueknya kalau nak bli umah ni kan. i kindda like yg 2nd last tu sbb baru. how?
i like the sound of house #1 and #4. kfc walls can be removed kan.. though i must admit… but might cost a bomb kan? *gulp* i love the spaciousness of #4.
but eh, you and azman planning a lot of babies ker? so many rooms and bathrooms! clean till pengsan!

kalau nak murah meh beli kat kedah…dia punye murah hangpa bleh beli 2 bijik semi-d dan renovate jadi banglo. Nak yang ada tanah luas sekangkang king-kong pun ada. Nanti dah tua then meninggal bleh tanam situ ja! Hangpa x caya, hangpa bleh tanya cokman.

kihkihkih….. gile klakar ahahaha…. btw, aku pon tgh duk mencari2 umah huhuhu tp plan nk membeli tu lg 2-3thn….nk bersedie secare mental & emosi psl harge marge yg ntah pape ni….dena, hang dh try auction?? last mth my cousin beli bank auctioned house, teres 2 tingkat, sec 13 shah alam, for the price of lower than 300k….ingat nk jenguk2 auction gak… but be prepared for the kelecehan but still, can get a good house for cheaper-than-market price
kelakar la u punya post.. he..he.. best baca.. yer.. i agree harga rumah sekarang ni ya ampun… tak termampu.. semuanya koman2 pun RM250k ke atas.. so.. nasib kami dapat beli rumah semi-d single storey tapi kat kawasan kampung la.. meru sana.. tapi neighbourhood tgh rapidly develop.. setia alam..aman perdana.. suma kaw2 harganya..

erm for me rite now i dont need a large house sbb i malas nak kemas and plus our family kecik. so i rented a condo instead.it’s a little bit pricey for condo, but ade 24hrs security and other facilities and 10-15 min to KL. hihih (i pentingkan senang nak gi mall sajee)
i rasa susah kot nak dpt all the criteria. dekat dgn Giant, tesco tak bole ke? hehee

So, Carik le dekat BANDAR BUKIT MAHKOTA. Semi-D RM 210k.. (my house) tempat lain sah sah 400-600k… Aku rekomend, Bandar Bukit Mahkota, Seksyen 6, Semi-D…
Ada jalan tanpa tol ke Bangi atau Ada jalan BERTOL yg mahal (Tukar Kerajaan) … Kalau berminat, give me a call, kita pi jalan jalan carik rumah!!!
