Last weekend, my car got stuck in a traffic jam at Bandar Kinrara. It was pretty weird because the traffic is normally smooth over there especially during holidays. I later found out that it happened due to the policemen conducting a road block in front of Bintang supermarket. Why??? I didn’t know until much later after I talked with my uncle, Pak Cu Din.He came to our house for Hari Raya gathering.
From him I got to know that all the roads to KL have been closed due to the government’s efforts in trying to prevent the people from attending Perhimpunan Bersih at Merdeka Square. Anybody with yellow shirt will be asked to return back!! That sounded silly but after all silly things always happen in our lives. No complain about that!!
Another funny thing is that.. I have never even heard about that gathering and marching before!! Looks like they were preventing me from attending a function that I was not aware of and in the process, I was exposed to something that I didn’t even want to know in the first place!! Don’t blame me for that.
From my conversation with Pak Cu Din and friends,I learned that the “Perhimpunan Bersih” was actually conducted by coalition of 70 civil society groups and got full support from Opposition political party. The objective was to demand an electoral reform in this country and submit a memorandum to our Yang di Pertuan Agong. The protesters have been advised to wear a yellow shirt to show support to our Yang di Pertuan Agong.
Though I’m not sure how successful the Bersih campaigns were for them but from the pictures that I got from the internet, I do admit… IT WAS very very successful in one aspect!!. You know what??..
It was raining at that time….and on top of that the FRU sprayed buildings and roads with water cannon. When everything was over.. the protesters even collected all the litters on the road.
Oh yeah!!…….at least..the city is CLEAN (Bersih) !!
Finally, lets pray for clean and fair elections!
emm..emm..sekurang kurangnye ada keje jugak FRU tu!! takde lah makan gaji buta je..cehh.. membesar perut ade lah..kepeh kepeh kepeh 101 kali seburan water cannon!! 😛
marilah kita sama-sama menuju ke arah keamanan dunia. world peace!

I don’t believe in the elections being free & bersih. Sorry call me a negative person, but it’s always the same yr after yr.
Economy is not getting any better, petrol is still rising, the richer getting richer, poor ppl are still around. I thought Dasar Ekonomi Baru was suppose to eradicate poverty, how come 50 yrs after merdeka still ada ‘hardcore’ poor ppl?
Whoever u vote, it will be the same.
