I remember many months ago Azman and I were strolling around the shops at KLCC. I was looking for more tops and bottoms to buy and KLCC is the best place to get those tiny tops and bottoms the way I like my clothes to be.
Oh no! Please don’t get me wrong, I don’t wear skimpy clothes because I want people to look at me. I do that because I like to have a lot of challenge in my life.
When my in laws call to say that they are dropping by our place and will arrive in a couple of hours; I can immediately practice my winning the next Amazing Race Asia trophy! It doesn’t matter if they find out that I run slower than Pak Dollah’s neuron movements, so they reject my application to join the program. They will be sorry to know that I will soon replace Eric Leong in hosting Casa Impian. No doubt I have all the skills necessary.
Because first I will use all the clues available like our online wedding album and Vogue magazine while turning the house upside down looking for something decent to wear. And after I get my hands on the long sleeve shirt from the pile of clothes kept safely for the next tsunami donation; I still need to arrange everything back in order before my MIL arrives. The secret of her pride and joy, Azman is actually living in a home of a cluttered laundry store cum the back of a Mamak restaurant cannot be revealed just yet.
In my last attempt, I completed the challenge in an hour, next time I will go for 30 minutes. Phew! What a great workout!
Anyway, at KLCC we drop by Guardian pharmacy to see if they have anything that can make my face come second in the list of the world biggest oil producer. Suddenly Azman stop at his track with extreme excitement beaming out of his eyes. He is staring at a display rack full of cookies! I swear it seems like he is looking at Angelina Jolie. In her birthday suit.
But these cookies are no ordinary cookies, they are Manchester United cookies! Official merchandise cookies! Wow Wee! The cans are just unbelieveable! Pictures of Ryan Giggs, Cristiano Ronaldo, Ruud Van Nistelrooy and Rio Ferdinand, Rio Ferdinand! adorn them like diamonds on a Queen’s tiara. Good Old Trafford at the background and Manchester United logos are making them extremely stylish and err manly.
So we buy a box. It costs RM12.90.
A few months later, we were shopping for groceries at Mydin Subang Jaya. The MU cookies are on sale too. They cost RM2.99 each. Buy one free one.
We have many beautiful cookie cans at home now. I can’t remember what happened to the actual content. I think I have donated them to the ants. They taste like rubber.

Hey! RM2.99? Buy 1 Free 1? Cis! The nerve of them! Do they know that Manchester United is a global brand? Oh how can they stoop so low? My only guess is that Mydin’s boss is Jose Mourinho’s secret toy boy.

maybe it is not Jose Maurinho but …Roman Abromivich already bought Mydin. next year, dont be surprise to see Chelsea players wearing jersey with Mydin logo instead of Samsung.!!
Muahahah I told Frankenstein of your MU biscuits and off he went to get them but alas! Sold out! He got them anyway at Watson. I swear I thought I saw the cans in a display glass cabinet in his house…hmmmmm
