Happy 1st Anniversary to my Diyana

Today is our first anniversary. Although our ‘Kenduri’ reception at Dewan Tabung Haji, Bayan Lepas was on 31 Jan 2006, the ‘Akad Nikah’ ceremony was actually on 30 Jan 2006.

It is still fresh in my mind about that best day in my life. I woke up around 5.30am that morning because I must arrive at the mosque before 10am. It took more than 1 hour to drive from my home in Baling, Kedah to Teluk Kumbaq, Penang. Although waking up st 5.30am sounds difficult, I didn’t have any problem at all on that day because I hardly sleep through out the night!!!..

I remember wearing light green Baju Melayu..and green songket samping. my good friend, Nize helped me a lot that day.

I drove the car to Penang by myself although my family preferred another person to drive because after all I was the one that gonna get married. But should I care about that??..it was my important day & I would like to bring myself to her !!! I had been driving close too 1000km per week just to see her everyday in KL and this time I didn’t want to miss the historic driving moments!!

There’re 7 cars convoy to Penang at that day and when we arrived at the Penang bridge there’re traffic jam!!!..we were gonna be late for sure & Diyana’s brother was calling me a couple of time to remind me that we must not late; and the Tok kadi was busy, he wouldn’t have the time to wait for me if we were late. My brother in law annoyed me a lot but I understand his situation. He was just scared the akad ceremony will be cancelled !!!..its going to be a disaster!

Luckily we arrived at 10am sharp and Tok Kadi was just driving behind our car!!! Phew!

I was very nervous and during the Akad nikah..I have mistakenly reshuffle Diyana’s name to Diyana Yang bt Abdul Razak. ( Diyana is still angry with me until now for that mistake..hahaha ). However, I had no problem for the second time around.

So, one year is already gone since i love my after married life. For today anniversary..i have been trying my best to show that I didn’t care or remember about our anniversary. So, last night & this morning..she’s hardly smiles at me because I have been talking about just my job rather than our anniversary.

I do not really care about that because I have already prepared a surprise for her.

I already ordered a bouquet of flower from the internet. It’s a special bouquet in a box with 15 stalks of gorgeous red roses.

I really hope that the flower will arrive to her office before lunch time…. And I hope she wont read this entry until she gets the flower… 🙂
