Tapau in Style with Tupperware TaPau Set

Thank God for sunny weekend! It has been raining cats and dogs for a long time hasn’t it? We took the opportunity to take Miki splashing in the cool-cool water of Sungai Congkak last Saturday.

As usual I don’t let my family (especially Miki) eat roadside food so I packed some goodies for a picnic. I have blogged about how Tupperware contributes to my new Simple Living principles HERE but now I am even more excited because I have got myself a new BYO (Bring Your Own) TaPau Set by Tupperware.

I love it! It is so chantekkk! See!

The set is consisted of 4 eco spring bottles yang sangat comel and one 2+1 Tapau set that is actually a sophisticated, stylish and Eco friendly version of our old school mangkuk tingkat! But come on la… takkan awek cun wanita berkerjaya macam aku nak bawak mangkuk tingkat kannn? Aku kena la bawak Tupperware, baru kelas sikit.. (dah jadi makcik2 pun nak jadi kelass lagi tu? Buekk)

In above there are only 3 eco spring bottles, the forth one is orange in color and I am using it at the office.

Soup

Anyway, for the picnic I made Rice Vermicelli in White Pepper Vegetable Clear Soup. Wahhh the name sounds so fancy right actually it is just Bihun Sup Sayur dengan Lada putih lah! Ahaha! It’s Azman’s fave food because it is his Mom’s recipe that I adopted and improvised. Mikin likes it too because it has a lot vegetables in it. I like it because of the accompanying side dish – Meatballs and Shitake Mushroom Stew. Recipe? Lain tahun aku bagi…

Above pic the bottom part of the set and it is multi-tiered. I find it so genius because it has a perforated noodle holder that fits on top of the CrystalWave Bowl. My bihun wouldn’t get soaked, soggy and clumpy and the steam from the hot soup would keep it from drying either. Best kan? I love it!

The noodle holder holds enough bihun for the three of us. Spacious!

And when you close then lid, the noodles and soup is safely sealed in perfection. If you are wondering what the little orange circle is, well that’s a vent cap for letting steam out when you reheat your food in the microwave. All Tupperware products is microwave safe ya? Gunakan tanpa was-was!

That’s my Meatballs and Shitake Mushroom Stew. As the bihun sup is rather mild in taste. This stew brings out the appetite of a gorilla in you! Haha! I placed the compartment on top of the bihun sup and close it shut.

Oleh sebab aku seorang isteri mithali, I also sliced up some cucumbers, pineapples and sengkuang to make rojak buah. I am not a rojak buah fan. I don’t like it all but Azman loves it to bits!

So it became his desert while Miki and had chocolate cake. More calories but oklahhhh… Below pic is the happy little boy that gets to play with water in a full tummy. See a strand of bihun on his chin? Haha. Tak senonoh!

In case you guys think I am perasan rajin and showing off my cooking well nope! Actually I eat out a lot. When our office was located in Manara PJH, Putrajaya I used to TaPau delicious lauk-pauk especially during Ramadhan month. With this TaPau set by Tupperware I will no longer pack food home the way I used to – you know, using those plastic bags and Styrofoam containers!

Although home cooked meal is the best, you can always TaPau food from your favorite restaurant using this stylish set. I think we should all start living up to a GREENER life. If everybody understands that it can take up to 1,000 years for a plastic bag to break down and starts recycling, eventually we could contribute to a better environment.

But in case you don’t care about the environment think about yourself la… Styrofoam and Styrene could
lead to cancer ok! Scary!
